Day 1. Airport pickup and city tour

Tbilisi 9.30:00 – Old Tbilisi tour.

WE will meet you at your hotel for a sightseeing tour in Tbilisi. Start at Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the largest orthodox cathedrals in the world. Continue to Metekhi church and the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Take the cable car to Narikala Fortress and the statue of Mother of Georgia to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. Stroll through the Sharden area full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine-tasting bars, and souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the clock tower of the famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre.

Tbilisi – Telavi-- Shumi Winery –Tsinandali park- Signagi– Tbilisi

At 09:00, depart for Georgia’s Kakheti region, the centerpiece of the country’s 8,000-year winemaking history. The beautiful road to Kakheti goes over the Gombori Pass (2 h, 100 km) before reaching Telavi, the region’s administrative and historical center. Make a short stop in Telavi at the monument to Erekle II and the giant, centuries-old plane tree. Continue to Shumi Winery to explore the wine museum and the production facilities, before enjoying a traditional lunch accompanied by premium Shumi wines. Next, the stop would be Tsinandali park and Alexandre Chavchavadzes museum. which is a very nice park!

so after the park, you will move toward Bodbe convent. As the legend says, it is a burial place of St. Nino, who converted Georgia to Christianity in the 4th century. Since 1889 Bodbe complex functions as a nunnery. Continue driving to Sighnaghi, the city of love and the Royal Town. Historically, one of the crossroads of the Great Silk Road is surrounded by defensive walls with 23 towers. According to your Next stop will be at the restaurant for the coffee. Return to Tbilisi.

At 09:00, our guide-driver will pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia. Your first stop will be at Jinvali water reservoir. The next stop is Ananuri complex, a former residence of Argveti Dukes. The complex features churches and towers dating back to the 16-17th centuries, beautifully overlooking the Jinvali reservoir. Continue our drive to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for the fact that being different in color they still keep their own colors even after merge. We will then drive over the Cross Pass and make a short stop at the Soviet-era “People’s Friendship” mountain viewpoint overlooking a deep gorge of Caucasus mountain range. In Kazbegi, we will change our vehicle to a four-wheel-drive car (60Lari per car, if snowy) to reach Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located on an altitude of 2170 m, and enjoy breathtaking views of Mt Kazbegi. In the end, you will go to some nice restaurant for lunch.

Drive back to Tbilisi.

9:00 - Pick up from the hotel. Drive to the direction Mtsketa. Visiting Jvari monastery. It is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, stands on the rocky mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, it is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

After Jvari you will go to Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave town and one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. The town represents a complex of various structures dating from the 12 cent. BC to the 17th cent. AD.

Drive to Borjomi, the town famous for the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Experience winter trekking through the park on snowshoes (up to five hours). Have a picnic lunch during the trek, surrounded by the magical winter forest.

move to Kutaisi and stay.

7 am. start to drive towards Prometheus cave where you will walk in a 1.5 km long tunnel to enjoy breathtaking views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and lakes along the cave. The underground light system filled with LED lights of all rainbow colors marvelously highlights the natural beauty of Prometheus cave.

after Prometheus cave, we will visit Martvili canyon, where u can boating.

Drive toward Batumi and stay.

9.am. Batumi beach is next to the Boulevard. The beaches in Batumi and its vicinities are stony without sand. To the east from the beach, there are theatres, cinemas, restaurants, cafes with great food and other entertainments. The residential quarters of Batumi are seen from afar due to their rainbow coloring. The matter is that each house there is painted with a certain color.

The Old part of the city is especially interesting, most of the houses were built in the XIX century. There reins the spirit of past centuries – rows of small shops of handicraftsmen making copperware, the magnificent aroma of freshly brewed coffee in small cafes. The old city is known for the various architectural subtleties: buildings are decorated with chimeras, mermaids, atlantes, and other mythical creatures. You will visit Batumi dolphinarium. and enjoy the cable car.

by evening time drive back to Tbilisi.
fly back from Batumi is the best option.

You can stay in Batumi as long as you want. or back to Tbilisi 7th day with us.
